Andrew Wolf Memorial Scholarship Award 2016-2017
Deadline: August 1, 2016 — Application Form

Applications are now being accepted for the Andrew Wolf Memorial Scholarship Award for the 2016 – 2017 academic year. This is a one-time award of $250. There are two scholarships available. One will be awarded to a Welding Technology major and the other scholarship will be awarded to a resident of Ellsworth, Kansas, enrolled in courses at Salina Area Technical College (SATC).

To apply for these scholarships, please complete the application and provide one typed paragraph, briefly describing your career and/or educational goals and how SATC will help you achieve them The paragraph should be double-spaced in 12-point font with one-inch margins.


Kansas Masonic Foundation – Technical College – $500 Scholarship

Deadline: March 31, 2016 — Application

Available to all Kansas residents who elect to take a non-academic route and attend an in-state trade school.


Kansas Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship – $500 Scholarship

Deadline: March 1st — Application Form

Are you or your parents a member of Farm Bureau in Kansas?

If so, this scholarship is for you.


Kansas Tractor Club Scholarship – $1,000 Scholarship

Deadline: July 15th — Application Form


Salina Area Technical College Scholarship – Employee Funded $250 – $1,000

Open to all students enrolled at Salina Tech for the fall of 2016.


Salina Area Technical College Scholarship – Technical Program $500

Deadline: March 31, 2016 — Application Form

Open to full-time, first time post-secondary students enrolled at Salina Tech for the fall of 2016.


Salina Area Technical College Scholarship – Returning Student $500 scholarship

Deadline: March 31, 2016 — Application Form

Open to SATC graduates who are returning the next consecutive year in another program of study.


American Welding Society Foundation District Scholarship Program

These scholarships are available for any students interested in pursuing Welding Technology.


McDonald’s Scholarship – $250 scholarship

McDonald’s sponsors scholarships to encourage Salina Adult Education Center (SAEC) graduates to attend college. See Kelly Mobray at SAEC for details.

There are approximately four scholarships available to students with appropriate scores.  The scholarship is awarded between May and August on a first come, first serve basis.

It is only necessary to fill out Section One of the following form: Application Form

Kansas Board of Regents Career Technical Workforce Grant

Priority Date: May 1, 2016

To apply for the 2016-17 school year, please complete the following:

1) State of Kansas Student Aid Application online at: https://sfa.kansasregents.org/login.jsp and pay $12 processing fee
2) Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at SATC
3) Print a copy of a KS Career Technical Workforce Grant Verification form and deliver to the SATC Financial Aid office

To renew the Kansas Career Technical Workforce Grant for the 2016-17 school year, you will need to be continuing the same program that you are enrolled in currently or be in a program that qualifies for this grant.  You also must be in good academic standing at SATC.  The above criteria must be completed again to renew your scholarship and be received by May 1st.

Applicant who have worked in feedlots, farms, ranches, grain elevators, green house or have done field work in the last two years.

Student Tuition & Education Professional Scholarships (STEPS)

$10,000 scholarship (paid over 3 years) The Omaha Truck Center STEPS program is designed to identify and assist outstanding students who are enrolled in the study of Diesel Technology. Scholarship Application Contact: jwalsh@truckcentercompanies.com


Glenn Lygrisse/KACRAO Scholarship – $250 Scholarship

Deadline: March 1, 2016 — Application Form

Applicant who is in their senior year at a Kansas high school, have a cumulative seventh semester GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, and have a minimum ACT composite score of 22 or SAT-I combined score of 1020.


Collision Repair Education Foundation – Various amounts awarded

Deadline: February 16, 2016 — Application Form

Secondary and post-secondary collision students attending career and technical schools and colleges have the opportunity to apply for the over $300,000 in available scholarships and tool grants available through the Collision Repair Education Foundation and the organization’s industry supporters.


Buick Achievers Scholarship Program – Various amounts awarded

Deadline: February 29, 2016 — Application form

We encourage the following to apply: High school seniors and current undergraduates; Those who plan to enroll full time at a four-year college or university in 2016 – 2017; Those who plan to major in a field of study that focuses on engineering, technology, design or business, with an interest in the automotive industry.


Kansas Hospital Education & Research Foundation – Various amounts awarded

Four health care organizations are collaborating to provide scholarships in health related fields! For the eleventh year, Kansans wishing to improve their education and skills may apply for the Kansas Hospital Education and Research Foundation (KHERF) scholarships “Encouraging Excellence.”


Youth Volunteer Scholarship Award – $500 award

Deadline: November 29, 2016 — Application Form

To be eligible for the Youth Volunteer Scholarship Award over the past 2 years a student must have completed a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer work; over the past 2 years a student must have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or greater; a student must be under the age of 21 years on the day of the deadline; a student must submit essay on the year’s topic.


Caretenders Scholarship Program – $500 award

Deadline: May 31, 2016 — Application Form

To be considered eligible for the Caretenders Scholarships Program you must be attending an accredited university, college, trades, or technical school in the fall of 2016, in the fall of 2016, you must be attending a school in Canada or the United States.


LM Scholarships Program – $1,000 award

Deadline: May 31, 2016 — Application form

To be considered eligible for the LM Scholarship Program a student must be currently enrolled or expects to be enrolled in a degree program (2 years of length or greater) by September. Additionally, to be eligible a student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and submit an answer to the essay question prior to the submission deadline.


Lift Parts Express Scholarship – $500 award

To be eligible for the LPE Scholarship you must either be a current senior in high school or a freshman or a sophomore in a college/university, be a legal resident of the United States or Canada, be enrolled or expected to be enrolled by the Fall of 2014.


KanEquip Scholarship

KanEquip is now offering to students attending technical schools in Kansas and Nebraska that offer an Associate’s degree in agricultural or diesel technology a scholarship of $2,000 per semester for the scholar’s tuition and semester fees as well as a $1,000 voucher to purchase tools from KanEquip at a discount.

KanEquip will provide the scholar with a paid internship, uniforms for their classes and internships as well as a scholar benefit package.  Eligibility requirements for the scholarship are students must be enrolled in Agricultural or Diesel Technology in a Kansas or Nebraska Technical College, complete a 90 day summer pre-internship at one of our 9 dealerships. (Wamego, Marysville, Dodge City, Topeka, Clay Center, Garden City, Ellsworth, Herington, Kansas and Syracuse, Nebraska).

kasa Scholarship – $1,000 award

To be eligible for the kasa scholarship an applicant must (1) be a registered student at Salina Area Technical College, (2) must be a post-secondary student and enrolled in at least 12 credit hours, (3) must have declared a Welding Technology major, (4) must have a high school diploma or GED, (5) must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a permanent resident ID card or current passport.

A Place for Mom Senior Care Innovation Scholarship – (5) $1,000 scholarships available

Five $1,000 scholarships available to students enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor’s, or graduate level program at an accredited school in the fields of gerontology, medicine, nursing, social work, sociology, psychology, physical or occupational therapy, speech pathology or long-term care administration.

Marine Corps Scholarship

Scholarships are for children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen pursuing a post-secondary education at any accredited school – whether that be a career training, trade school, community college, or four-year university.  We’re not competitive and we award scholarships to every eligible applicant. We are the Nation’s oldest and largest provider of scholarships to military families.  Our scholarship application for the 2016-2017 year opened on January 1, 2016 and will close on March 1, 2016.
