Endless opportunities for real-world experience and hands-on training give our students the competitive edge they need to flourish after graduation.

Our small class sizes and personal attention to each student ensures that you will be equipped to succeed in the workforce.

Our programs are short, but jam-packed with all of the essentials — and then some. With a job placement rate among the highest of any public institution in the state of Kansas, our students can be assured that a certificate or degree from Salina Tech will lead them down the path to success!

Whether you’re interested in earning a technical certificate or an Associate of Applied Science degree, we have what you need to succeed.web_front-No1student_successKBOR

No diploma, no problem!

Yes, you can attend college while we help you earn your GED. Our AO-K program allows students to begin working on their GED while also working to earn a degree in certain programs, such as truck driving.

General Education

Salina Tech also offers a wide range of general education classes that can transfer to other colleges and universities in Kansas — for 1/2 to 1/3 the price. Right now, you can earn 30 credit hours in classes such as College Algebra, U.S. History and Computer Science for $2,970. That’s one year of college, which would cost more than $9,000 at the University of Kansas, more than $8,000 at Kansas State University, and more than $4,000 at Fort Hays State University.

We’ve got you covered, too. Attend your high school for part of the day, and Salina Tech for the rest, earning college credit while you finish high school. In fact, many of our students each May graduate from high school and college — ready to enter the workforce in a good-paying profession!

Since 2012, Kansas high school juniors and seniors have been eligible for free tuition if they enroll in qualifying technical education courses. Qualifying programs include Diesel Engine Specialists; Automotive Technicians and Mechanics; Electricians; Heating, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanics and many more.

In addition, Salina Tech offers a Center of Excellence Scholarship that will pay for most fees and expenses associated with your classes.

For Veterans

Salina Tech is pleased to help our nation’s veterans access the educational and workforce training resources available from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the State of Kansas KanVet Program.
